Raised by my grandmother and my hardworking father, my childhood was marked by resilience and the support of community programs.During my time on the council, I have championed issues such as creating the Financial Empowerment Center, ensuring neighborhoods are safeguarded from big businesses, and protecting the hard-earned money of working families by voting against unnecessary tax increases.Motivated by my own experiences, I am determined to continue bringing my passion for serving the community to the Salt Lake County Council. I recognize that the county's programs have made a world of difference for me and my family, and I will continue to ensure that all families receive the same level of support and assistance that I was fortunate enough to receive.

Climate change is happening here and now, and we're running out of time to act. Counties play a critical role in building a greener future. By preserving and expanding parks and recreation areas in our valley, we can create sustainable, climate-resilient communities that benefit us and future generations.

It’s really simple, we should invest in child hunger. Children who go hungry cannot learn and that impacts their able to be financially stable. Financial empowerment comes when the government uses your taxpayer dollars to invest in you and your basic needs.

My mother was incarcerated for a good part of my childhood. I witnessed her strength as she used county services to start her amazing life. My success is a direct result of having resources.
